The Tailwheel Flying course is designed for pilots who want to expand their skill set by learning to operate conventional (tailwheel) aircraft with confidence and precision.

Course Inclusions:

• Tailwheel Characteristics – Understand the design, center of gravity, and ground handling differences between tricycle and tailwheel aircraft.
• Takeoff and Landing Techniques – Learn three-point and wheel landings, proper control inputs, and how to maintain directional control.
• Ground Operations – Get a clear understanding of tailwheel taxiing, turning, and brake usage – especially important in windy or uneven runway environments.
• Common Errors and Recovery Techniques – Gain insight into frequent tailwheel mishandling scenarios, such as ground loops, and how to prevent and correct them.
